FAQs

I have created a list of commonly asked questions to assist you. Please have a look and see if your query has already been addressed.

Why is the cost of your paper flowers higher than that of real flowers?

When you purchase paper flowers, you are paying for more than just the materials and time it took to create them. Each petal is cut, shaped, and glued individually, requiring skill and care from the paper florist. This process is a true labour of love, executed with precision and attention to detail to bring forth the essence of a flower. In addition to their uniqueness, paper flowers are long-lasting, making them an excellent choice for those who want to enjoy the beauty of flowers for a long time.

What type of paper do you use?

As a paper-based business, we could not do what we do without the resources provided by nature. We are doing all we can to reduce our environmental impact in protecting and conserving the natural world. At Petalier, you can rest easy knowing that they are not only beautiful but also kind to the environment.

Our flowers are made using biodegradable, recycled, and FSC certified paper. I use papers such as, luxury card stocks, printed paper and crepe paper sourced from UK, Europe and the USA. You can be confident that your purchase is not only beautiful but also environmentally conscious.

How do you package the paper flowers?

Our paper flowers are carefully packaged to ensure they arrive in perfect condition. Each delicate creation is elegantly wrapped and protected with either tissue paper or honeycomb packing material, placed within our custom shipping gift box. This considerate design eliminates the need for extra transit packaging, reducing material usage and supporting sustainability. Additionally, we take pride in using recyclable, eco-friendly packaging materials that are proudly manufactured in the United Kingdom.

How should I care for the paper flowers?

Paper flowers are an excellent choice for those who want to enjoy beautiful flowers for many years with minimal care. To ensure they retain their vibrant colours and shape, it is essential to keep them away from direct sunlight and moisture. If dust accumulates on them, it can be gently brushed off. If you want to adjust the shape or position of the flowers or create curves in the stem, gently bend them with your fingers.
